Howard Tolbe commented in the Garden Isle that he feels that teachers should teach for free. Here is the situation. The state of Hawaii has a deficient thus "forcing" the governor to institute furlough days (no work days) for state employees. This cuts down the amount of student days from 178 to 161. Mr. Tolbe feels that we (teachers) should work on these furlough days with no pay. What do you think?
